Fall Welcome Potluck
SUNDAY: September 11th, 6:00pm - 9:00pm at the Agricultural Administration Bldg.
Welcome to Columbus, Ohio, and to The Ohio State University! We are so delighted that you have chosen to further your education in our town. Join other new international students and American hosts for a free potluck welcome party. There will be door-prizes, games, dancing and plenty of different kinds of home-cooked foods for you to try. You do not need to bring anything - Come as our guest!!

Ice Cream Social
WEDNESDAY: September 14th, 7:00pm - 9:00pm at Royer Activity Center
This is a sweet event...literally! There will be loads of ice cream, plenty of opportunity to meet fellow international students and American volunteers, and fun games available as well. Don't miss it!

Furniture Shopping Service
SATURDAY: September 17th, 8:00am - 12 noon
Need a desk, a mattress, or a set of table and chairs for your new apartment? IFI volunteers will drive you to furniture sales and stores in Columbus to find discounted furniture, and other volunteers will help transport it to your apartment on Saturday or Sunday afternoon. 

You MUST Pre-Register for this event with $5 cash at the Welcome Potluck or Ice Cream Social. You will not be able to participate if you try to register on Saturday morning.  All students must ride with a trained IFI volunteer (you may not drive yourself). You must be available on Saturday or Sunday afternoon to receive your furniture delivery.  Event details will be emailed to registered students.

Friendship Partner
Meet monthly & become friends with an English-speaking partner. You can do fun activities together, such as sharing a meal, touring the city, going shopping, celebrating the holidays, and much more! this service is free. Sign up here for more information.

International Mothers Group (IMG)
A free bi-monthly meeting for international mothers with acitvities including English Conversation class, Living in America (healthcare, children's education, etc.), Bible discussions, and fun activities; such as field trips, special speakers, and events. babies and children are welcome - childcare is provided. International American Fellowship
Every FRIDAY night
If you are interested in or curious about the Bible, there are gatherings at internationals and Americans who discuss the Bible each Friday. The atmosphere is friendly and open, with lots of interaction. We meet near campus. There are a variety of groups according to interest. Sign up here for more information.
