Garage Sale Shopping Service
SATURDAY: Sept 13. 8 AM-12 noon

One of the best ways to find inexpensive items is to go to garage sales, where people sell items they no longer need. Volunteers will take you to garage sales and help transport items to your apartment. This is a free service.  Meet in the parking lot of the University Village Kroger, 2913 Olentangy River Rd., Columbus, 43202 or at the First Church of the Nazarene, 142 King Ave., Columbus, 43201.  Look for signs. Ice Cream Social
WEDNESDAY: Sept 17.  7:00 pm-9:30 pm. 

Come and eat ice cream with fellow international students and American volunteers.  This event will be held in the building of University Baptist Church 50 W. Lane Ave. Columbus, 43201. Register Now.

Tour of Columbus and Meal
Saturday, Sept. 20 10:30am-4:30pm 

Enjoy the opportunity to see the places that make Columbus special.  American volunteers will escort you around the city to places like parks, historic sites, official buildings, and more.  Following the tour, lunch will be served in host homes. Register Now.

ESL Conversation and Culture Classes
These classes are for OSU international students, visiting scholars, or their spouses who have at least an intermediate level of proficiency in English.  The cost is just $10 to cover printing expenses.  There will be a waiting list if the classes are full.  Classes will be held at Hagerty Hall on Saturday mornings from 10:00 am-12:00 noon for 5 weeks each term.

Friendship Partner
Meet monthly and become friends with an English-speaking partner.  You can do fun activities together such as sharing a meal, touring the city, going shopping, celebrating the holidays and much more.  This service is free. Friendship Partner Registration.

English Conversation  Partner
Meet with an American once a week for friendship and to practice your English. Sign up here.  This is a free service.

The International Mothers Group (IMG)
A free monthly meeting with crafts, activities, and speakers for mothers and their babies and/or young children.  There are also field trips and special events for the whole family.  Meetings for this fall are Tuesdays, Oct. 14, Nov 11, and Dec. 9, from 10:00 AM to noon Buckeye Village Recreation Center.  Come with your entire family to the Family Fun Picnic and Potluck, Saturday, October 4, 1:00-4:00 pm.  For more information contact Joyce Aubuchon at JAubu7737@aol.com or Rebecca Sermon at Rebecca@ifiusa.org.

International American Fellowship
Every FRIDAY night. If you are interested in or curious about the Bible, there are gatherings of internationals and Americans who discuss the Bible each Friday. The atmosphere is friendly and open, with lots of interaction. We meet in homes near the campus. There are various groups according to interest.
